Job Description:
Maintains, installs, converts, and configures slot machines on assigned shifts according to
departmental plans. Participates in a team-oriented environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with our
guests and fellow associates, assuring that optimum guest service is
maintained.
Performs daily or as scheduled, preventative maintenance on gaming devices
of a predetermined number of validator units, ticket printers, and card readers
as specified by the slot performance supervisor.
Consistently follow machine entry procedures and repair procedures to
proactively identify or prevent future equipment problems.
Maintains and repairs electronic circuitry of all Slot Operations related
equipment.
Safeguards all assigned assets upon installation, build, conversion, or
reconfiguration.
Uses approved electronic test equipment when repairing or maintaining
gaming devices.
Properly diagnose faulty equipment and troubleshoot to the sub-system level.
(Hopper, Comparator, MPU Board, etc.)
Safely and effectively operate shop equipment including hand tools, welding
equipment, soldering equipment, and test equipment. Maintained proper
documentation on department repair logs, shift logs, daily shift reports, and
J.M.R.s.
Knows and complies with the gaming compact, and any other regulatory
requirements necessary.
Knows and complies with company and departmental standard operating
procedures.
Maintains the shelf validator stock, the shelf ticket printer stock, and the shelf
card reader stock in the slot performance shop at the predetermined quantities.
Complete projects and machine move as assigned.
Interacts with other departments exhibiting a professional, courteous approach.
Assisting with validator software upgrades as they are released by the
vendors.
Other duties as necessary to improve the operational direction.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Associate degree from a college, university; or trade school; or two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to maneuver in and around the casino and public areas.
Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and reach above your head and must be
able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, and
handle currency, coins, and keys.
Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when dealing with
difficult guest and employee conflicts.
Must be able to speak distinctly and persuasively to others.
Must be able to respond to visual cues and be able to distinguish between
colors.
Must be able to tolerate and work in areas containing secondhand smoke loud
noises, bright lights, and dust.
Ability to differentiate between various denominations of currency & coin.
