Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for ensuring that our ISO:17025 accreditation status remains current by promptly and accurately fulfilling all accreditation obligations.
• Design and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive continuous improvement program specifically tailored to CIS, ensuring its effective execution across all CIS
Operating Companies; and that can accommodate the unique needs and challenges within a service organization.
• Create a roadmap for the continuous improvement program, aligning it closely with CIS’s overarching vision, goals, and strategic priorities.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines to ensure the successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
• Monitor progress closely, track milestones, and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on the progress, results, and challenges encountered throughout the implementation process.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify best practices.
• Facilitate the development of actionable plans to address opportunities, emphasizing the importance of standardizing processes to drive efficiency and consistency.
• Utilize a variety of Lean tools and techniques to drive process improvements.
• Harness the power of data analysis and metrics to inform decision-making processes. This includes identifying performance gaps, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing improvement opportunities, and measuring the success of implemented initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration to empower associates to actively contribute to the continuous improvement journey.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with “The Carlton Way.”
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions and implement necessary changes effectively.
• Offer personalized coaching, mentoring, and support to all associates. This includes providing guidance on problem-solving approaches, offering constructive feedback, and
facilitating skill development to enhance overall effectiveness and performance.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, preferably Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 3-5 years of Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing experience
• A combination of relevant education, leadership, industry, and professional experience may also be considered.
• Extensive technical skills and hands-on experience in continuous improvement field experience.
• Demonstrated coaching, communication, change management, & leadership skills preferred.
• Proven expertise in planning/organizing, managing execution, checking results, & revising complex, cross functional projects preferred.
• Knowledge of the following standards and application of systems is a plus: ISO/IEC 17025. ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3, EURAMET Calibration Guide No. 18, ASME B30, OSHA, and MSHA.

• Ability to travel across the Mid-Atlantic (and across Carlton’s growing footprint) up to 50% of the time for in-person efforts as needed; travel may be higher or lower based on business needs.
• Capable of prolonged sitting or driving sessions, with limited breaks, for up to eight hours daily.
• Ability to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 100lbs and frequently lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
• May involve lifting heavy items while performing tasks such as climbing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Comfortable working at various heights, both indoors and outdoors, in conditions of high heat, extreme cold, and wind.
• May be required to wear a respirator.
• Capable of performing essential job duties in elevated, confined, cold, wet, hot, humid,
or unsanitary environments, or a combination thereof.
• Ability to perform rapid, repetitive movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists efficiently.
