Pearce Bespoke Syracuse

About the Opportunity

Pearce Bespoke Syracuse is seeking an ambitious, personable, fashion-minded Clothier to help grow our presence in the Central New York market.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity designed for a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently, developing business, managing client relationships, and taking ownership of their growth and success.

This is not a traditional retail sales position. As a Clothier, you will combine custom clothing consultations with the business development needed to build and maintain your own book of business.
The right person will be comfortable getting out into the community, meeting new people, attending networking events, developing referral relationships, prospecting businesses, following up with leads, and creating new opportunities.

What You’ll Do

As a Clothier, you will learn and deliver the complete custom clothing experience. This includes understanding each client’s profession, lifestyle, wardrobe needs, and personal style; recommending appropriate garments and fabrics; assisting with garment design and customization; taking accurate measurements; managing fittings; coordinating orders; and developing long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct custom clothing consultations and fittings
  • Develop expertise in fabrics, garment construction, fit, and professional style
  • Help clients build coordinated wardrobes rather than simply purchasing individual garments
  • Attend local networking events, chamber events, business functions, and community events
  • Build relationships with professionals, executives, business owners, referral partners, and organizations throughout Central New York
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities
  • Consistently follow up with leads and prospective clients
  • Generate referrals and repeat business through strong client relationships
  • Manage client appointments and maintain accurate client information
  • Assist clients with fabric selection, garment design, customization, and styling
  • Take and maintain accurate client measurements
  • Coordinate orders, fittings, alterations, and final deliveries
  • Represent Pearce Bespoke Syracuse professionally in appearance, communication, and conduct
  • Identify and develop partnerships, events, corporate programs, and other opportunities for business growth
  • Actively contribute ideas for expanding the Syracuse market

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is hungry to grow and wants more than simply showing up for a scheduled shift.

The ideal candidate:
  • Has experience or a strong background in fashion, menswear, womenswear, styling, luxury retail, custom clothing, or a related field
  • Has a genuine passion for professional style and personal presentation
  • Is hardworking, self-motivated, competitive, and entrepreneurial
  • Enjoys meeting new people and developing relationships
  • Is comfortable walking into a room where they don’t know anyone and starting conversations
  • Is willing to network, prospect, follow up, and actively create new business
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is confident presenting products and recommendations to clients
  • Understands that exceptional service and relationship building drive repeat business and referrals
  • Is organized and capable of independently managing appointments and follow-up
  • Is coachable and willing to continuously develop knowledge of fit, fabrics, styling, sales, and business development
  • Has reliable transportation for client appointments, fittings, networking events, and other local business activities
  • Wants an opportunity to grow alongside the business and take on greater responsibility as Pearce Bespoke Syracuse expands

The Opportunity

This position is best suited for someone who wants to build something—not simply work a job.

Pearce Bespoke Syracuse is growing, and the person joining the business will have the opportunity to develop their own client relationships, expand their professional network, deepen their expertise in custom clothing, and grow their responsibilities as the Syracuse operation continues to expand.

Fashion knowledge gets you in the door. Work ethic, relationship-building ability, professionalism, and the hunger to grow are what will make you successful here.

Important Classification Information

This position is structured as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity and is not a traditional employee position. The selected Clothier will be responsible for managing their independent business activities in accordance with the terms of their contractor agreement.
